Ch-ch-changes.
I'm working on another blog with a way better layout and a bigger focus on interviews. I'll be importing most of the posts from this one over when it's ready and I'll post the new URL for anyone who wants to check it out. Thanks for reading.
Mark Lind and Dirty Water's lost demo.
"So lay down and die, 'cause it ain't real rock and roll, it's only dollar signs."
Mark Lind is one of my favorite musicians in punk rock. He's been in a ton of bands over the years: the Ducky Boys, Sinners and Saints (with his brother Rob from Blood For Blood and Ramallah), Dirty Water, and Far From Finished, just to name a few. The guy's just unstoppable and always putting out well-written, melodic punk rock.
Dirty Water's one and only self-titled EP has always held a special place in my music collection, not only because the songs are so damn good, but also because I thought (until today) that they'd never recorded anything else before their untimely break-up. But Mark just posted a Bandcamp link with nine demos for the LP that Dirty Water never recorded. Believe me when I say, you should check this band out. The second link will take you to a good chunk of Mark's recorded output (minus the Ducky Boys), including the first Dirty Water EP.
Lowpoint.
Check out Lowpoint and their heavy-as-shit six song demo. These guys hail from South Florida and have done a lot of time in a lot of bands from that area: One To Blame, Harbinger, and Hivemind are just a few I can think of off the top of my head. Oh and the demo's free.

Feral Babies.
Check out Feral Babies from Tampa, Florida. They play hardcore punk rock that you'll probably shit yourself over if you love Black Flag and the Circle Jerks. Justin and Andy from Injustice System are in this band. They just put out a 7" called Violent Boredom.

Suburban Scum.
These guys are ridiculous. I'm a bit late to the bandwagon, but their new EP Hanging By A Thread that was just released on 6131 clenched it for me. Suburban Scum is from New Jersey and they've been active since 2007. They've also released a split on Mayfly Records with Long Island's Incendiary and the nine song Internal War on RTF Records. This is seriously heavy, New York-influenced hardcore that reminds me of 25 Ta Life, Sworn Enemy, Madball, and Bulldoze, but with an even more metallic bent. The vocals are just flat-out raw as fuck. Check out the links below and support these dudes.
